I think the most used one is the maverick et 732 or 733. They work fairly well for the price.

Yup the maverick provides enough function for the right price.

If you want a unit with a dedicated remote, then Maverick.

If you want one that you can monitor on your phone or tablet, iGrill2, but you are limited to Bluetooth range. They are using the latest BT transmitters and claim 150 ft. but I haven't tested mine that far yet.

The blutooth ones are line of sight, if ya cant see it, it's prolly not going to work 100%, i sold my i grill for that reason. I still have my first generation maveric , id say go with the newer long range models

I have been very happy with my Et732. I would like to have a second one sometimes. The Et733 has a few more features, but I don't use most of the 732's features. I just monitor temps. The range and ease of use is very good. I am never in line of sight. As ron L said, the iGrill2 might be nice if you want to monitor on a smart phone. I am not sure about the bluetooth range though

I just used the iGrill2 Yesterday for the 1st time. Love the unit and probes, love you can use up to 4 probes. Bluetooth is useless. One of the reasons I want remote capability is so I can be doing things elsewhere like in the kitchen or even go to bed for a bit for overnight smokes. Blue tooth does not stay connected while in the house. Someone mentioned line of sight and it appears that's accurate. Basically if I'm line of sight I can see the base unit and don't need remote. Was hoping for something better. Maverick serves the purpose.
