Well, I've been a huge OU FAN since I was a kid. I've never liked UT, kind of cheered for Baylor (just cuz they have been the WHOOPN boys of the big 12) and a huge fan of anyone that will beat UT OR TCU!!! I never thought I would route for UT, but I've found myself in a quandary! SO......., I've decided to dedicate this cook for the cause. Is was raining all day today, so I decided to use the WSM to do a rack of St Louis style and baby back ribs for the great occasion of college football, and PRAY that ut can pull it together enough to kick the crap out of tcu on Thursday.

Seasoned each with a little homemade rubs and put on the WSM for about 2 hrs. Before wrapping. PrincessofQ and myself have come up with a couple of sauces for the Q, so we decided to give it a try.


After about 4 hrs. We sauced and pulled at about 5+ hrs.

Pictures don't do justice, they were AWESOME!!

I sure hope ut puts half the effort into beating Tcu as I did cooking these amazing ribs!

Lol! No wishy/washy here! I bleed Crimson and Cream! Nothing has changed in the world of CF. We all are devil advocates to get the end result. I'd rather see BAYLOR get a chance at the dance that tcu. Baylors paid their dues to the big 12. IMO, Patterson has a few more years of Pulling up his pants and tying his shoes before he earns his spot.

My second oldest is a sophomore at Baylor. Been a really fun place to go -- wish I was closer so I could see some more of the games live (though I did fly down there to see the OU game :-D )

I'm not sure what would happen if both Baylor and TCU were to win out. I think Baylor would probably jump them as long as the convincingly handle the last two games -- including what should be a highly ranked K-State team at that point.

Still, I'm with the OP, makes things easier if UT can take TCU out if it directly. And not just because of Baylor -- really not a fan of TCU in general.

Purdy ribs!:-D You're doing the right thing in supporting the Horns and if you're wise you'll become a permanent fan because Coach Strong has them headed in the right direction, in the next year or two they'll be a bonafide powerhouse and there's going to be a bunch of really unhappy Sooners out there! It would be easier on you to come to the light now rather than delay the inevitable and put yourself through all of that emotional turmoil!:wink:
