Emergency!!! Help with Kosmos!!!

I've got almost 9 cups of water mixed in with a full bag of Kosmos brisket injection. The mix tastes super-salty. How much water should be mixed with a full 1 lb bag of Kosmos?

I think its typically 2 cups of water per 3/4-1c of powder mix.

Why did you mix a whole bag?

and yes, its going to be potent

I think there maybe 3-4 cups in a 1lb bag.

Thanks UT. I'm doing two briskies today that are just short of 20lbs each. Scared to death that this Kosmos is gonna make the meat way too salty. Now I'm debating whether to inject or not right before I am about to put them on the fire.

youll be fine at a ratio of 3/4c per 2 C water. Some will mix thicker than that. some thinner.


With the Kosmos/butchers, its good to make the mix a day early and let it thicken up. inject early so it has time to do its thing
