Anybody have some methods/recipes for cooking a whole turkey on large BGE?

I like injecting mine with cajun butter. Expect it to be done faster in your BGE than a standard pit. I've done a couple in my steel kegs and they cooked pretty quick. Unless you want to "present" it whole, I would spatchcock it. Aim for 325-350* pit temp. Good luck!

Ditto on Mad Max. Mine turned out great. Also Google turkey 101 by Smokin Okie. He has a great brine as does patiodaddio- spry about spelling

I like to overnight brine in a large 22qt container, and then spatchcock my turkey, can't be beat.

I've used the Mad Max method for a few years and it always comes out great. However, last year I tried the Wampus method and it was even better than Mad Max.
