I decided I wanted to whip up a quick and easy family meal tonight. So at the local market I found a family pack of pork steaks on sale for less than $7 so I picked them up. I brought them home and started a chimney of KBB for my 22.5 kettle. While the coals were getting ready I season the pork steaks up with Everglades all purpose seasoning and Everglades RUB (my new favorite go to rub) and let them sit until my fire was ready. Once ready I grilled them for just over a minute on each side. While I was getting the pork steaks ready outside, inside was getting Brussels sprouts and carrots to go with them. also going to put in the budget TD. Now the pron.
All seasoned up.

TY Jeanie. I aspire to make my pictures look like the ones you post. I got the cooking part down pat now I just need to work on my photography skills. I am sure a decent camera would probably help as well...

Looks great. What is the difference between pork steak and pork chop

On these nothing I think they were just labeled wrong unless it is just that they are thin sliced, but usually the chops have the tenderloin and steaks are usually sliced pork butt.

Looks great. I cook pork steaks all the time. Pork shoulder slices about 1/2"+ per slice. Takes me 8 minutes to get to 140 IT on Grillgrates over a blazing fire. Can't imagine how you do it in 2 minutes ????

they were pretty thin, I was surprised they cooked that fast myself, I usually do at least 2 to 3 min per side maybe more depending on just how thick they are. I don't know if maybe because they were actually chops labeled as steaks made a difference or not. I am use to pork steak being sliced butt, but when I opened these they were from the ribs like a normal what I call a pork chop.
