Does anyone have any speakers, either built in or attached to their cooker? I have been wanting to do this for some time now to simply avoid having to drag out one more item when were cooking. What I am concerned about is longevity of the equipment, and looks of course, if anyone has any feedback or pics they would like to share, please do.

I thought about putting some marine speakers in the cart of my UDS. Havenīt done it now but I think those marine / boat speakers should live long even when its parked outside and if using some good brand Iīm sure they sound good. You could even use a whole marine radio with a 12V converter.

Went to a comp last month. The idiots, err, competitors next to us had a huge trailer with speakers blasting at all hours of the day. They played the same 20 songs from their ipod, most of them Hillbilly RAP (?) and songs with a lot of language that you wouldn't want your Mom to hear, much less children. Don't be that guy.

I am thinking of just getting one of those Bluetooth speakers that I can drag outside and use when I am tending my WSM. Something that I can recharge and play anything from my iPhone.

THoey1963, I didnīt thought about that. I only thought about having some music when sitting by the smoker at home. I can imagine that this is annoying during a comp.

NO

I like peace and quiet. I like the sound of the fire crackling while I am relaxing by the pit, beer in hand.

I have speakers mounted outside on the back patio. When I'm in the driveway, tailgating, or anywhere else, I use this:

There are another pair of speakers on the backside.

Still holds beer, too:

Be sure to play some great BBQ tunes when you're all set up:

Bee Gees - More Than a Woman (Saturday Night Fever Movie 1977) - YouTube

I take the JBL Charge. It's a portable Bluetooth speaker and play Pandora radio on it. It's usually the Electric Blues Radio station. Nothing better on a beautiful day smoking than Blues, Booze, and BBQ!!!!

Got an ion job rocker I drag out side. Use Bluetooth from my phone or tablet. Gonna take it to our final comp this weekend, but no rap-a-billy will be played.

And I agree with you 100%, but when im at home I like to listen to a little classic rock, some blues, and even some classic country, I dont turn it up to maximum distortion, I keep the volume low. But I can also see the psycological effect of playing very annoying music really loud at comps, not that I agree with it, but I can see some doing that.

I'm a bit of an electronics junkie...and this is one of my favorite purchases. Amazon.com: Logitech Bluetooth Wireless Speaker: Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/410n9xIR%2BpL.@@AMEPARAM@@410n9xIR%2BpL

Unlike many of the smaller bluetooth speakers, this actually has decent bass. It can run off a rechargable battery or AC power. It's capable of playing loud enough to fill a large room or outside during a cook.

I use it almost every day.

go blue tooth .Small speakers and lots of flexibilities when it comes to the device that use to play the tunes.
