A fellow WKC'er turned me onto a Happy Cooker for $25! The owner never knew how to hook the lid to the bail inside, it took me less than a minute to figure it out. http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/Smileys/default/grin.gif The only thing wrong is two of the three screws don't tighten up very much so the bowl wobbles a little.

This thing is kinda cool, as you can raise and lower the charcoal grate and the lid bail is interesting.

Great score. The first grill I purchased new was a Happy Cooker on sale at Sears. Grilled a lot of food on it before I gave it to my son. I have a stainless steel wheel disk I've modified to serve as an ash catcher like that. Burgers just seem to come out better with an ash catcher.

Where the bowl attaches to the column two of the screws don't tighten down tight, how do i take it apart to address this?

Mine had Weber-like legs.
But if the construction is like many grills of that era, I would grind or drill out the screws and replace them, if PB Blaster will not budge them. Too much force tends to strip out the holes.
