My Cyber Q is acting up.
It won't let the temp go over 275. I have even move the set temp to 475. Trying to get to 325. I used to be able to do this. The last few times, no.
It also stays at 0 percent most of the time, them switches to 100 percent for a small time, them back to 0 percent. Nothing in between, and not 'on' enough to raise the temp.
I have plenty fresh charcoal. And no problems with air flow.
Any ideas? Is there a way to 'force' it 'on'?
Thanks in advance.

bizzarre.

you could try resetting the eprom. there is no logical reason why it would not control that hot.

I suspect your airflow is an issue anyways if you cant naturally get the fire that hot. its not exactly an unheard of temp

I did a reset an hour ago. Still no go.
Going check all inlets and exhausts. But, smoke is flowing out of the exhaust.

what is your meat temp set at? and what does it read?

Did you also make sure the slide on the bottom of the fan outlet is fully open, and not partially closed.

all good.....

You did bring the pit almost to temperature before attaching the fan and turning on the Guru? I tend to leave my firebox door open until I get 20 degrees below my set temperature then I close the door and start the Guru.

It was much easier with high heat cooks going manual when I did use either my IQ or guru.....REASON is because a simple natural convection isn't over blowing when trying to increase the temp.

Fixed!
After I tried everything else.
I unplugged the meat probes, and the problem cleared up. Must have been some weird electronic black hole.

I am happy that you have resolved the issue......

The simple things create the most difficult problems to solve.
