Hello! I am originally from St. Louis, MO, but moved to the Dallas area in 1996. I bought my first smoker almost three years ago. It's the 22.5 WSM, and it's been putting out some great BBQ! I win almost all of the backyard competitions I have with friends, but the judging isn't always fair and equitable. LOL.

I just took the plunge and signed up for my first competition, so I'm pretty excited about that. It is the Rib Rub Run and Roll in Rockwall, TX. It has three categories that I think I can fit on WSM: 1/2 chicken, baby back ribs and spare ribs. I mainly want to make sure I enjoy competing before spending thousands of dollars on a competition cooker.

I also love to golf and enjoy long walks on the beach with my wife. See ya'll around!
