View Full Version : 1st attempt at a Fatty = FAIL

So i search these forums for a few days. Do my first bacom weave, roll out the sausage, stuff it with ham and cheese. Put a little magic dust rub on it and roll it up. Next I put the roll on the bacon and roll it, looks great. Go out and start my MES and the AMS. This is the first time I'm using a AMS and very excited. All is good to go. Came back in the house to get my FIRST fatty and my Doberman is just finishing eating it raw!! She got it off the island. :mad2:

Sounds like a success for someone...just not for you

Better leave her outside for a day or two, that's not going to be pleasant coming out once it hits lol

That is exactly what I was thinking!

Only upside I can see is that you get to practice your weave...better luck next time.

Guess that's the major disadvantage of being the first one off the island.

Always make more than one!

Did you ask her how it was?

That's not a Fail .......this is a Fail!

FAIL BIG or Go Home!

That is probably the only way to fail a fatty!

Well, we all live and learn. Try again and this time, light the pit first.

08-24-2014, 04:33 PM
Not how I expected that story to end. Ouch.

08-24-2014, 08:15 PM
That was a good fatty...didn't even hit the grill and it was gone!

Yeah, you're gonna need either a clothespin for your nose or a cork for your dog.

I had to read this to see how you could fail with a fatty.. Lol. Good luck with the dog..

My dogs live for leftovers...firstovers they would be walking around with their heads down knowing I could not get too mad at them...

I always make sure my dogs are outside before I start messin in the kitchen...I lost 2 slabs of ribs the same way a couple years ago...

Wok the dog!

Haha your story made me laugh out loud. I got many memories of my old friend pulling such shenanigans... I couldn't even get angry at him(my fault anyway) and the comedy of it far exceeded the aggravation.
I second leaving her outside though!

I guess you could say your fatty was so good it never made it to the plate!!! I really feel sorry for you when the fatty makes its return though!!

Wok the dog!

In some countries dog is eaten.... regularly....:tape:
Meat fed dog? Is that anything like grass fed beef?:icon_blush:
