Started smoking early this year. I have spent many hours on the forum trying to learn from all of you. Today we had a bday party for my father. He is turning 90 years old and lives with me. So the party was at my home and about 25 people so up. I smoked a pork butt and it was the hit of the party! So thank you for all that you guys and gals have taught me off this forum.:clap2:

I still use it sometimes plus an UDS, a Converted Cabinet Smoker and a Vertical Offset stick burner. I've had a File Cabinet Smoker, a Offset UDS and a lil Bullet Smoker.

UDS would be a Good one for you to move onto.......

Good job! I love cooking for the family! Nothing wrong with a MBE, I too started with one. I still use it when I feel lazy.

Glad it was a success. Most people have never had really good BBQ. Amazing!

Marty is right. We have all had BBQ and thought it was good. However when you REALLY have good BBQ, you know you have just had GOOD BBQ. That is what this site will teach you. Every time I cook something, I use something I have learned from this site.

So glad to hear it all worked out and everyone enjoyed your Q. This is just another example why I pay for my yearly subscription on this site. Bunch of great people doing good things for others.

Very nice! You know, I have been a member of this forum since 2006. I am on a couple of other forums too, but none that really "feed" me (pun intended) like the Brethren. I've learned so much from this place, and my BBQ skills have soared since becoming a member. I too offer thanks to the Brethren!

Very cool, Randy! I grew up in Lansing just across the border from you, and was also in the area yesterday celebrating my mom's 90th birthday. Alas, no BBQ here, though. Congrats on your Dad!
