Picked up some 12/16s yesterday and thought I'd try them with some smoke today!

Here's the fixings...

Veggies with olive oil and seasonings till they're semi transparent...

Then add the shrimp for 3-5 minutes.

Nice!

Nothing better than fresh shrimp, something we just don't see in Iowa.

I buy a prime grade pure breed angus steer for the freezer every year that a neighbor raises. Too bad we can't do some swapping but the shipping is the killer.

They look great neighbor! :thumb: That is actually not bad for 12-16's! I just paid $5 a lb. from my uncles boat.

I'm about to go post a cool video over in the Woodpile some divers took of sharks around the back of his boat while they were stopped and picking shrimp if you want to check it out. Would post it here but don't wanna high jack ya.

Turned out really good! A nice little pecan smoke flavor. Ya gotta be careful not to over cook the shrimp though. I did this over direct heat and stirred every few sips....errr minutes.

Can't get small shrimp for $4.50 lb here in Indiana. Looks good, nice job.
