I didn't really follow a recipe for this dish. I just kind of went with what I knew and added some things
my son thought would make it better.
What you see below is what we come up with.
There are not many days like
today, so I feel very blessed for this day and
the time spent with my son. It's was fun for the both of us.

Home made Lasagna

It turned out very good yet I believe I enjoyed the time spent with my 13 year old making it a lot more. :thumb:

Started out with Prego Sauce, Italian Parsley chopped, sliced mushrooms, Parmesan Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese. I precooked the lasagna for about 8 minutes, I used a little olive oil to keep them from sticking together. After we laid them out side by side style and set aside. Mixed JD Italian sausage and ground chuck, mainly so one didn't over power the other. Added to the sauce along with the mushrooms, Parmesan, 1/2 the chopped parsley. Started out with a layer of the sauce mixture then the lasagna, then mozzarella and sprinkled the parsley over that, ( give you a little color as you eat it) The mushrooms Matthew wanted to add to the sauce which turned out to be a nice compliment. Repeated until we had made it 5 layers thick, his idea. He said the last time we made it he run out of lasagna before he did the sauce. I got my one serving and he got several, he even left off the bread so he could hold more Lasagna. No better compliment than that right there.

I forgot the sauce also had Ricotta Cheese

Any one want to guess what Matthew had for breakfast? Having his teeth cleaned this morning he told me he could taste the lasagna and it made him want more. !3 years old an to date has never had a cavity. And they say being a carnivore is bad.
