Yair . . . I asked on another thread but some how I have lost it . . . I'll ask again, what is the essential difference between "meatloaf" and "fattie".

Cheers.

Eggs and bread crumbs (or crushed crackers or rice). Meatloaf is made of ground meat mixed with eggs and a filler. A fatty is just a solid roll of sausage sometimes wrapped in bacon and sometimes filled with good things like veggies and cheese.

I am of the opinion that a "fattie" has to be made of sausage, which is seasoned meat. A meatloaf is made of a meat and filler mixture, that contains a starch and often vegetables. Sausage does not have a binder, meatloaf usually does.

Yair . . . Gotcha fellers, in my parts there is no such thing as "sausage" as you folks know it.

I'll just start off with some pork and beef mince, and build something with some egg, cheese and other good stuff and see what happens.

Cheers.

A Fatty is a weapon of love and a meat loaf, well, you know.

BUT...look at a fatty as a meatloaf with sage advice.
