I was channel surfing tonight and flipped on man vs food as he was trying bacon wrapped tater tots. Looked like they had taken about half a piece of thick bacon and wrapped it around a tater tot and a slice of jalapeņo. They deep fried it and then melted some cheese on the top.

Made me wonder how it would be smoked. Anyone try something like that?

Not in a smoker but we had similar in a bar in DC last year. They were good. But then they WERE BACON WRAPED!

Eric our smoke signals magazine editor recently talked about doing something similar.

Maybe he will chime in and tell us if he did try this.

They are delicious grilled. I did not however add cheese holla's or any kind of rub. I also did not try to smoke them I went hot so the bacon would crisp the tots.
