Anyone have a technique for putting your Q in quart vacu-seal bags so you don't have wipe down the edges before sealing?
I have tried a bag holder upper and just doing by hand.
Maybe I'm just sloppy . . .

fold over the open edge, like making a cuff in a shirt sleeve

fold the top over like you are rolling up your pants leg.

I wrap whatever I am sealing with Costco's clear wrap first, then put it in the bag to seal. No mess on the bag!!

You can also par-freeze before sealing if you're having moisture problems.

I use a plastic McDonalds cup with the bottom cut out. Slide the cup in the bag and then the Q in the cup and it doesn't mess up the bag!

I do similar. I use a canning funnel and that keeps the top clean.

I like this idea but we like to re-heat our Q by dropping it in a pot of simmering water still in the sealed vac bag, and I think this would melt this clear wrap...

I just fold over the top of the bag like others have said and keep a damp towel handy if needed.

I'd also wonder if the vacuum part of the job would work as well if it was wrapped. If it doesn't get all the air out, you still might get freezer burn.
