Flat iron steak was a new cut I saw this week... So I grabbed a few packs. Never had this.

Seasoned with fiesta brand steak seasoning and then put them in a bag with a few splashes of wosterchire and chopped garlic, onion, splash of olive oil and a few splashes of corona.

But first let me get the fire started and have a beer.

I've been eating this cut for a long time and yes it is really tasty. I usually find it around here at about the same price as tri-tip. around 5.50 per pound. Got my wife to try it for the first time this week. She a rib-eye only gal and thus was skeptical but after having it a couple of days ago she's on board! Glad you enjoyed it Tony. I'll have to have mine your way next time.

Those look very similar to the chuck eye steaks I buy. Tasty indeed! :thumb:

Cut that way [cross cut instead of parting out the whole muscle, this is technically a top blade steak.
Flat iron is when you part the whole muscle out of the chuck, then slice it longways and trim out the band of gristle that is in the middle.
Excellent flavor, either way.
Beautiful job on the cook, BTW.

Great Cookup !!!

Yeah, I've done those off & on for many years....very good....surprized you never happened on them before !!!

You're always cooking up something good, glad you added this one in !!!!

Haven't done them lately, like LoneStarMojo, the wife is a "ribeye only" type, usually......

My local store stocked them... Not sure of it was a mistake but I'm going to ask for it next time if I don't see them.

Thanks for your kind words.
