I'm trying to decide if I still have time to cook a small (4lb) butt this afternoon. Would like to go with about 275 and have roughly 6-7 hours. Try it or just fire up some burgers later and do the PP another time?

I think you have time and you can even bump up the temp to between 275º-300º. See where you are at after 4 hours and worse case scenario, wrap it in foil for the last 2 hours and it will be done on time. Hope it come out great for you!

Thanks -- have put it on. Thinking about running out and grabbing a couple racks of BB ribs. Wouldn't have any problem with those getting done -- and since I have the room.....
