Been lurking for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger and join. Here's me project that was 2 months in the making. http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x441/bigpoppah1/20140629_090821.jpg (http://s1182.photobucket.com/user/bigpoppah1/media/20140629_090821.jpg.html)

I did the seasoning last night, she ran perfectly, 245-260 for 4 hours. Thanks for the love. This was really fun build. If any one is interested, I have the CAD drawing to scale, to cut the template for the barrel.

Nice looking cooker. Would like to add to my arsenal with one of those one day. Do you use a charcoal basket?

That's some nice fabbing! Did you just use a basket in the bottom?

I love it. Just built my first traditional UDS, but always wanted to build one this way (lack of welding skills makes this difficult). Good luck with it, I'll send you a PM for the CAD plans.

Made the charcoal basket out of expanded metal. Welded legs on it and made an ash catcher. Will post pics later today.
