We'll hit the road this evening. Last time we were there was a week before Katrina hit. Will be nice to see the wife's kinfolk down there, but depressing to see upclose of what's left. I'll stop by The Shed again in Ocean Springs. 1/2lb brisket sammies.:eek: I'm sure I'll stop a few other places along the way. So ya'll won't hear nothing from me for about a week.

We've been down there twice since Katrina. Pretty depressing in so many ways, but optimistic in others. They were hit harder than I could imagine - even after seeing the remains of several tornados. However, they've made remarkable progress. Just so much more to do.

Saw the Shed crew on Food Network last night. Looks like an interesting place. Can you ask for light sauce?

Well, we made it there and back. I have to call to find out how much of my money LA will be getting:cool: . The coast is still in bad shape. Lots of foundations and steps leading to nothing. They're making improvements though. A year later, and people still in FEMA trailers though. Stopped by The Shed for some pulled pork. I'll post my pics later.
