View Full Version : My BEST Craigslist SCORE!!!!!
I always browse craigslist for smokers and have found a couple WSMs but when I bought this one today it had an extra surprise.

It's a "C" code from 1981!! First year they made the WSM.
Door is a little rough but nothing I can't fix.

For being 30+ years old, it's in great shape. A Cajun Bandit SS door would fix it right up. I'll bet the old one works fine though.

Awesome score SOB! That is a classic Weber. The charcoal ring shouls also be a little different, having only one set of holes.
It's a "C" code from 1981!! First year they made the WSM.
It's when Weber says they first made the WSM. I have a "B" code from 1980.
Ya SS door for sure.
Don't you DARE replace that original door with a Cajun Bandit. Wire wheel on a drill, a little time and patience will have that original door shining like new. Do the best you can to clean the rust off of the steel legs. Pain in the a$$ but worth doing.
Ok will do. I want to keep it as original as possible. I've heard that B stamps were the first too but were just left over parts. Or made in 1980 then released in 81.
