Just like the title says, nothing special just some good ol BBQ chicken This is how I do my chicken.....marinate with Italian dressing, pat dry and then coat with Olive Oil. Then I sprinkle some Montreal Steak (no chicken) on my chicken (I like it way Better than the Montreal Chicken). Then onto the Kettle Indirect at about 400 degrees. When everything gets to about 135ish internal I put over direct heat to crisp up the skin and finish cooking. Then sauce and eat. Got kind of lazy on the sides. Boxed Au Gratin potatoes and nuked veggies but I was keeping it simple this goes around.

Looks delish! I never use the Montreal Chicken either. Montreal Steak or my own rub.

Looks great, but for me the rub of choice is salt, pepper, and garlic powder

The ol' kettle was made for high heat indirect chicken cookin' in my humble opinion. It looks like you nailed it. I like your montreal steak seasoning idea on chicken because with some grill smoke it can handle the bold flavors I bet. I'm going to try it!

That is exactly how mine looks when I feel like I've nailed it. :thumb:

I marinate in simple Wishbone Zesty Italian.

Looks great.

I've never marinated chicken in italian dressing when doing bbq chicken. I've done breasts and everything else, but never when I do bbq.

I think I know what I'm trying this week
