My crazy neighbor rolled up with a portable saw mill really tempting to put the ax dowm and get him to cut me some pretty logs like that.

I'm just getting restarted on the woodpile. I had a lot of it outside and it kind of rotted a bit. So I repurposed this sweet little shed to keep it dry in.

This is a teak wood chest I picked off the curb along with the chairs and tables. Works great for the smoker splits.

This is a Bradford Pear I brought in last winter. It's in the wood shed now.
I'm gonna try it for smoking and try some for charcoal.
Thats about it for me, more to come though, I hope.

Once you go square you will never go back. Dries evenly, predictable burn times, easily transported, etc, etc

No phone ringing, no car horns blaring, nothing but the birds and the wood talking to you, peace at last! and of course of couple or five cold ones!

Not much wood, but as much as a corolla wagon could hold. :) Looks like I'll have to get a load full about 3 times a year I am guessing.

I always keep a few sticks dry and ready to go (pictured) and a stack or two to be split or needing more seasoning
