My friendly mailman just delivered a Weber stainless steel fish basket. I ordered it for grilling fish and chicken on my Genesis gasser.
But I was also hoping it would also be useful in my 18.5 WSM.

It fits perfectly on the top grill of the WSM; no problem closing the lid over it. I can't wait to try it with some fish and spatchcocked chickens.

Looks like it will hold a lot. Probably need to spray it good with Pam grilling oil before sticking it in the cooker.

Have any of you ever used one?
Thanks,

JP

So does anybody cook/smoke fish on their WSM?
Anybody?

Works great. Pain in the Ass to clean though even with Pam.

Gotta tell you. I lived in Alaska for 45 years. Lived in Bristol Bay. Caught 60 lb King salmon. Butchered and cooked them on an alder fire minutes out of the water. Same with halibut. Really tasty. Been there, done that.
Now I'm in western NC.

I don't want no more salmon or halibut.
But I still love fresh seafood.
What kinds of fresh seafood should I be putting in my WSM and gasser now?
