I'm in the northeast and it's been a long winter to say the least. Starting to plan my first smoke of the year and am leaning towards making some bacon. Any suggestions on recipes?

Buckboard Bacon!
Dry brine: 3% pickling salt, 1% brown sugar, .25% cure #1
(percentages of the weight of the meat)

Never heard of buckboard but after some research, it looks great. It seems there are a lot of different way to do it. You mentioned dry rub, do you let it rest or just apply and cook?
