Anyone have any info or experience with this vertical smoker? Guy is asking $60 for it. It looks pretty solid from the pictures and I've always been a fan of vertical smokers rather than offset. Anyone know if it holds temps well or is known to leak or again any info at all? Does $60 sound like a good deal? Thanks in advance!

For $60 , I'll play! Just for starters, I'll mod the fire box and find a way to seal it and get controllable air. Just my .02!

For $60, I'd probably get it. With no bottom, it's basically a better built ECB. You can figure out some mods to make it more user friendly.

To me it's a no brainer for $60. I've wasted way more on way less!

Buy it. Wire wheel it. Apply two cans high temp bbq spray paint. OR take that same money and buy 4 copies of ABBA's greatest hits. Don't be the guy blaring dancing queen on the patio. Be the MAN with a new cooking toy.

Look up my name and franken smoker. I did a to of mods and ended up mounting it to a wood stove to make it awesome and I tried it all. For the record I got min NIB to $50.

Or you need to seal the bottom and get rid of bowl for charcoal to start. I'd give $25 at best.

That guy looks like it needs some mods. Since it's open on the bottom it will be difficult to control temps. I'd pick it up for 60, but plan on messing with it quite to bit.....

I'd close the bottom off but I'd buy it :thumb:

That's one of the older models. I don't think you can buy that NIB for 50$ I'd pick it up and see if I could find a larger pan to seal up the bottom and add adjustable vents.

my .02,
Randy

i haven't. i'm torn on the wide open bottom. if it stays up long enough and i let it marinate a little more in my head i might pull the trigger. thanks for the info everyone. looks like a solid piece of metal.
