Just got done building this big grill, and now starting on the smoke box for the end of it. It is 48" diameter and 96" long mounted on a 16 foot trailer. Cooked 30 butts the other night with 50 pounds of Kingsford.
So go ahead and fire away the comments!

Wow.
I don't see any counter weights. Are the doors heavy?

WOW!! is right...

Question. In the 2 unpainted pics..
thats a front view and back view? So those back doors are on the bottom back for cleanup?? and what are those 4 red things? (not the smoke stacks).

Sorry, im outside iwth a laptop, pics are a little washed out.

That's one big unit, Milron! So what's the smokebox going to look like? A vertical hung off one end?

The smokebox will be vertical cabinet design with shelving, etc. The red things on the back are call chain binders or tensioners, they are holding the doors tight and closed on the fire grates. (see additional photo). The doors are not too heavy only kind of high up when opened. Once I get the smokebox built I should be able to cook about 100 butts at a time.
I have a catering coming up to cook 450 hamburgers and 200 hot dogs, I'm trying to figure out what to cook with the leftover space!

Plenty of room for fatties while those hamburger are cooking!

I'm glad to see you have easy-carry handles on the ends of the smoker so you can move it around!

Any time he wants to move it he can call the his ten foot tall friends to carry it between them.

I think the handles may be a little unforgiving. Maybe they could be replaced with oak?

I might have to get a divorce, I told my wife I'm going to build a big one now! She told me to be sure it includes a sleeping area!
