Getting ready to smoke a 5 pound pork shoulder roast. how long
and at what temp should i pull it at. wanting to make pulled pork.

No way to know how long as every piece of meat is different. I would guesstimate about 8 to 12 hours at 225* and an internal temp of 195 - 205 and then rest for an hour at least, two prefered. It'll be done when you can stick a fork in it, twist and it starts to shred.

There's no specific temp you can cook from 225 to 325. I cook mine at about 275ish as far as the meat temp you can use that as a guideline. But around 200 internal start probing it for doneness. When you have no resistence it is done.
