View Full Version : First cook on Battle Box

After months of lurking and considering, I picked up a Humphrey's Battle Box and ran it through its paces within hours of it arriving in my driveway.

I've got a lot to learn as this is my first charcoal powered cooker, but the results look promising so far. Not bad for someone cooking in the Northwest anyhow. :heh:

Next step is installing some big casters, and setting up a better cooking spot (firemat, etc).

SmittyJonz: I'm graduating up from a simple electric Brinkmann can that I would carefully char apple chunks in. It certainly wasn't exciting, but I muddled through a number of cooks with it while figuring out what I liked.
