I'm afraid I couldn't stop eating that. All of my favorite food groups are in there.

Is there enough fat in pastrami to cook your flour in?

Well that's why I suggested adding some butter. Or alternatively some tallow.

Giggle.. that hash does look super yummy!
Did you cure that pastrami yourself and smoke it? Maybe you can share recipe? I'd love to try making pastrami. I just ordered some Cure #1 for buckboard bacon--I imagine this would work okay for pastrami as well?

Nope - these were some store bought corned beef points we picked up in March @ $0.99/pound. At that price I can't pass them up.

Wow 99 cents per pound! Best price I ever see here on corned beef is around $3.49.

Same here and probably a good thing or I'd be eating pastrami every day! I like to cube it up, add it to some beaten eggs and make a fritatta.

St. Patricks Day corned beef sales have been getting rarer over the last 10 years. Used to buy 10-20 every year, they freeze perfectly. You make me want to go dig one out of the deep freeze.
