On Monday, I'm going to do chicken and ribs. Looking at a high temp of -12F with NW winds blowing 15-30mph. Why?, because I can!!

We'll it's -21C here in Edmonton Canada with a wind. Doing ribs and whole chicken on the Big steel keg. Not the best day for a cook.

LOL, that's exactly what i just told my neighbor. We got a chicken cook planned for Monday for those chilly temps... 40 plus below windchill, just can't beat it but for tomorrows snow day i think it's just gonna be a boneless pork roast. Put it on and let the smoker get buried in snow. )))

Just fired up the performer for some chicken. Had to shovel her out first though. Snows coming down well now.

thinking of doing a turkey on Monday just to see if i can. Exactly... Monday is a day just to see what we can do because it just doesn't get much colder than what we'll have. If i can get 350 plus on my mini doing a chicken i'll be happy.

turkey on my wsm sunday. expecting a foot of snow (thats a lot for the east side of the state, we dont get much lake effect snow). Tuesday the high is going to be 1 degree,(dont want to here it Canadians) I was gonna try and smoke a few trays of ice cubes.

All bad weather comes from Canada. I think they're up to something.

I wish I could cook something. I'll be plowing snow all day Sunday. I get to swap to nights Monday. With the wind blowing 20+, the 9"-13" of powder we're suppose to get ain't just gonna lay there. We'll end up plowing the same snow over and over. Pitch it on the shoulder......blow back on.......

Somebody make me some ribs and tell me how good they are.

I'm almost jealous.... i've ridden in those big plows, those things are beasts.

Not gonna do ribs but will pork roasts with pork gravy suffice?

Dave just look at it as a challenge for what the Lang can do.:clap2:

For me i know the UDS can handle it, the Jimmy can do it but the question is the mini. 350* with a chicken with 40 below wind chill will be my test.

You can doooooo it!

They like it cold. Just smoked 35lbs of pork loin and 15 lbs of chicken breasts on mine last night. Cruised right along at 300 no problem. Suppose to be high of -10 tomorrow with -50 windchill. Nor sure if I will fire anything up tomorrow. Sounds like a good chili night to me.

I wish I could still waiting on Humphreys to ship out my new pit! Ah...fellow Ft Wayne brother! This wet snow is starting to be a real drag. :(

We need the temp to drop to get back to the fluffy stuff....the wet is not fun to shovel.

Getting ready for my blizzard Turkey here in SE MI. Final bird I scored from post Thanksgiving sales. Not too much snow yet, doubt we'll get that foot. So much for the storm of the century. Anyway, already salted Tom last night, any seasoning suggestions? Most of the time is just black pepper and some savory herbs.

unfortunately none for me. Just plowed almost a foot so far and wind is starting to kick up. Supposed to be -30 wind chill by morning. Hiding out in the shop with a beer and letting the wife cook sunday dinner this time.
