Lucky me.........my dad bought a Traeger but after a few months he saw them at Costco again and got a bigger one. He asked me if I wanted his old one.....well duh.
Quite the upgrade from the upright Brinkman I had been using. Just did a bone-in pork roast for a quick test.

Good for you! Thinking of getting a pellet myself. Borrowed my brother's Traeger Texas for the next couple of weekends.

I am so sorry you and your father don't get along. If he really loved you he would have given you a UDS.
Sarcasm intended :grin::-P
If it's free, take three

Some people might complain about a Traeger, but no one will complain about a Free Traeger!
The convenience and consistent food it puts out will have you cooking more.

you will love it.. only words of advice, to get the best cook you can - id suggest using a higher end pellet - i bought a pallet of cookingpellets.com I like the hickory.. Some of the others are just bland. I upgraded to the ortech controller and thought it was a plus, as added grillgrates..
Enjoy it bud. They are fun to modify as personalize.
