Want to cook a 9 lb turkey breast on a weber kettle. Will use the divider to keep coals to one side. Anyone have a ballpark pound to hour guide. Usually take it off at 160-165 internal. I think my kettle settles in @ 275. Trying to guage the time cause I'm cooking for the company christmas lunch wed. Any help as alway is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you are cooking it on the bone. It will take 2-3 hours. I usually take mine off the bone to cook. If you are using a thermometer with an alarm, I would set it for 150-155 that way you can catch it before it gets to 160. You may need to adjust for weather conditions. Looks like it will be in the 40's during your cook. You may want to start early and make sure you have enough time.

I cooked a12 lb bird At 300 in 2.5 hrs last week so at 275 & 9 lbs it will be close to the same time.

I would try to get the temps to 325+ to crisp up the skin. That said, about the same as Bludawg I did at 12 pound full turkey on Thanksgiving in about 2:45 at 350 degrees.

I never used a single divider when I cooked/smoked on my webers. I put coals down each side, put a small aluminum tray down the middle to catch the drippins. A lot more even heat. I easily fit 3 full racks down the middle, or a full turkey, or 2 chickens, 3 if they are small. worked great. You can also affect how much heat is on each side by the number of lit coals etc. Anyway that's how I used to do it many yrs ago. Just a suggestion/different view on how to get it done.

Open all the vents and make sure there is air flow through the coals.
