Been thawing a 10# ham from the butcher all day. I usually cook in the oven or crock pot for our second dinner. I'm thinking about smoking it though. My smoker likes to run around 300 so how many hours are expected? Should I just throw it on or use some mustard and rub? I think I looking for 165, I'm hoping to rest at least 3 hours as I have a hour drive. Figured I pull it wrap it cooer it.

Is it a real ham?
Or a "football" ham?
Or an uncured ham?

It should take about 30 minutes a lb or 5 hours for a 10 lb ham.

That sounds right. At 325*, it takes about 20 minutes a lb. At 300*, it would be closer to 30 minutes a lb.
