View Full Version : I'm officially addicted

11-19-2013, 10:18 PM
Ever since building my UDS all I want to do is sit on my back patio, drink beer, barbeque, and tinker with it. Last night I was going to buy a new thermometer online. So instead of spending 5$, I just decided to save myself some money and buy an ique110, for what was supposed to be a bargain basement experiment in barbeque technology. Last year I was a vegan. I went at least 6months without any animal product whatsoever, and virtually no oil. For dinner tonight I had smoked meatballs, chorizo and gravy with a toothpick for utensil. I don't think I'm vegan anymore. I'm actually pissed because I'll be visiting family this weekend for holiday and I won't be able to slow cook some kind of primal animal meat on my UDS. I have arrived,

LOL...that's awesome to hear shoes!

Build one of these... It's very portable not to mention an incredible smoking machine. I'm thrilled with it.

The way I look at it, you only live once.

Eat great, drink moderately and die a happy man!

11-21-2013, 01:51 PM
Haha - glad to hear that you're enjoying your change of ways. Being healthy is a noble thing, but you only get so many days no matter how healthy you eat.

The days that I live for are the ones that I spend on the back patio in the warm sun, with a big hunk of meat on the smoker, beer in hand, dog napping by my side, and my Fiance there enjoying it all with me.

If only I lived in a state with more warm, sunny days!
