One helluva day, got home with the kids and had 45 minutes to kid meltdown. Found this Tri-Tip I seasoned and meant to cook Saturday.
Never marinated meat that long so I figured let's do this and see how it is.
Well two interesting things, straight out the icebox and on the grill and spice marinated for two days.

Came out very pink and rare in the middle guessing just the residual cold kept it rare but it was tasty.

Have you guys spiced meat that long?

Looks great to me. Ive marinated different kinds of meat 3+ days with no ill effects. Did not intend to go that long but duty calls sometimes and I just got to it when I got to it.

I purchased an already spiced Tri Tip from Costco and didn't cook it till 2 days later. Was pretty tasty to me.

I used to but I haven't noticed any difference in the taste. Tri tip is good marinated or not. :bow:

That's a nice looking piece of meat.
I would guess that the marinate was a gentle low acidic one ?
