I knew I was gonna have to come up with some kind of cover since it has to stay outside. So I got some vinyl and made me one. Fortunately I use to run an upholstery shop so I had access to some heavy vinyl and a sewing machine. Its not perfect but it does the job.

Looks good an I bet it cost a 1/4 of what you could of bought one for, if you could have bought one.

I actually priced one from an online company. They quoted me $400! I have about $50 in the vinyl. I sewed it myself so that was about an hour. It extra heavy vinyl and weighs about 20lbs. I know it wont be 100% waterproof due to my seams not being sealed but its better than exposure all winter to the elements.

You could seal the seams pretty easily. Either buy a seam sealing product or get some 100% silicone caulk and thin it with mineral spirits to a runny paste consistency. Then just apply to the seams. Should do a pretty good job of locking out the moisture.

I was gonna wait and see just how much moisture found its way past them first. Hopefully it wont nbe much.

I really need to get a cover for my Spicewine. It lives in the Garage but it would be nice to throw a cover over it sometimes and leave it out over night once in a while. After a belly full of Q and beer it's not always fun putting her back in the garage.

Nice job ... I was wondering, does it need to be completely watertight? I was thinking a little airflow might be a good thing.

That offset has been out in the weather for 20 years now. Shes use to it! LOL! I was actually quoted $400. They were telling me about the sailcloth material and how the color never fades and how it would last forever..blah blah blah...I cant see $400 even if it lasted forever...which it wont.

Yep. AquaSeal does a real good job. Run a bead inside and outside the seem and it should do just fine.
Nice cover, shagnasty. That should last for years.
