I am normally a Ribeye or Strip guy but I felt like something different.

Made me wonder why I have not been getting Filets as much, they were fantastic

Very nice looking. I haven't cooked a filet on the grill in years. I like using a CI skillet and finish in the oven.

Looks nice and tender. Can a guy buy filets in roast form and cut your own? Pardon my ignorance if its obvious.

Yes, you can buy a whole tenderloin and cut filets as thick as you want.
