View Full Version : Kid's Birthday Cook -- pr0n!

Hey all,

This weekend's cook is extra special since it is the kid's first birthday (and of the solid foods, he seems to be a fan of the smoked meats, I've apparently trained him well).

So in celebration of the big zero-one, we grabbed some ribs and a brisket (flat cut).

The ribs are dry rubbed with paprika, chili powder, salt, black pepper

The brisket has montreal steak seasoning

They are almost two hours into the smoke as I type and are coming along pretty well.

Next on the to do list is to make some homemade BBQ sauce, which I'll start applying in another hour or two.

I'll put out some completed pr0n in a few hours when it is all completed.

I concur, smart kid. And now that he's a year old I can start introducing him to more diversity. It's gonna be a good year.

About time for him to move onto solid Q I figure.

Could have let the brisket smoke another couple of hours for tenderness, but it was pretty good and at 1 year old his tolerance for late nights and long waits isn't quite there yet.

Overall, it turned out pretty well
