Has any of my Brethren out there in bbq land ever thought of or built a vertical smoker out of a job box?

Sure you can. If it where me I'd weld up a frame from 2" square stock pop in some insulation and skin that puppy. make it a insulated vertical cabinet

That is what I had in mind I can get this box for 150 and I hope I can finish it out for no more than 300-350

I think it would make a pretty neat cooker!

My brother-in-law uses one to cook a whole hog. He made a rotisserie out of it. It works pretty good actually.

I saw someone make a smoker out of a filing cabinet. If that will work then I think the job box will definitelly work.
