Finally got around to posting this! It was a few days before Labor day and with my 22.5" kettle doing the smoking with the new iq120, I knew I was going to need a little more room for all of the corn, burgers, dogs etc... Easy fix: 14.5" WSJ, a few bolts, wing nuts and a pice of aluminum I'd have this done in no time.(note iq120 not installed, don't like leaving it out when not in use)

Drilled 3 holes in the legs of the Smokey Joe, a few 2" bolts threaded through the existing anchors from the bottom and wing nuts.

A simple aluminum strut attached to the panel in the rear.

Match made in heaven.

Of course this site got the better of me, and never knowing when to quit, I figured a mini WSM was in order. After reading all the different minis people had done these in the past, most seemed pretty much the same. This is not my style, I have to add my own ideas into anything I build, hopefully for the better! Anyways, my biggest complaint was the clearance between racks when using two, so here is how I modified it for my own liking.

First thing to do was the vent mod, I got lucky and found a nice handle to screw onto the end.
85501
So I cut my hole to 9.5"

I used 4, 2" SS screws up from the bottom and capped with SS acorns which would hold my diffuser.(Stainless-steel, 10" "electric range burner cover" from Wallyworld).
85499
Diffuser in place, this allows room for a water pan\ clay saucer if needed below the bottom grate.
85500
I used 3, 1/2" SS 10-24 screws for my grate rack, finishing washer for a clean look on the outside,
85502
And acorns for a nice look on the inside.
85503
After looking at some custom paint jobs that others had done, and wanting my own custom look. I followed a recipe I had found using High Temp Engine Primer, Enamel and Clear coat in addition to a baking period. Worked quite well, very tough.
85507
Put it all back together, and thar she is!
85504

I wasn't sure what impact my modifications would make, or if I would have to drill more holes for increased airflow or larger diffuser, but the mini burns great! a very controllable range. I can get it to 225-325, depending how hot I need it. And maybe in time, Ill add a custom adapter for my IQ120, not sure I'll need it though!

EDIT: Why wont pictures show?!
