What's your budget? I recently bought an STX Turbo Force off of Amazon for $169 I believe. It works like a champ.

Cabelas sells a nice intro model. Both my brother and I have used ours for years.

I have seen them on ebay, but didn't know much about them. Have you tried stuffing sausages with it? Can you use other round plates in it other than the three that came with it?

Check out LEM products. I have a LEM grinder came with sausage attachments. They have everything you can imagine to process your own meat and sausage. www.lemproducts.com

Yes. I have an lem SS .35hp #8 and it's a solid product with all metal gears.
There is a Scheels in West Des Moines and last time I was at Scheels in Utah about two weeks ago they had the the #8 stainless steel .35hp for $199. It's a steal at that price. Worth checking it out since your not too far from the West Des Moines location.

Here is a link but check the store yourself because the store prices are way different.

BTW LEM customer service is second to none. I have quite a few of their products.

I would recommend from experience to save your money and by a good grinder if you are serious. The cheaper grinders have plastic or sometimes pot metal gears that will break, strip, or sometimes just fall apart..

A better grinder will have machined gears and will last a lifetime if properly used and cared for.

Do yourself another favor and get a sausage stuffer, trying to mix the spices (and / or cure) evenly before grinding and then trying to stuff with the grinder is feudal at best. A nice gear driven 5 to 8 pound stuffer will save you many headaches and much aggravation.

Weston and LEM both make a series of stainless steel commercial grade grinders in assorted sizes, with many interchangeable grinding plates. They both also make gear driven sausage stuffers.

When looking at the weston site, keep in mind that the "Realtree" items have free shipping.

Another good place to look for ideas is http://sausagemaker.com

Amazon.com: Norpro Meat Grinder, Mincer, and Pasta Maker: Kitchen & Dining

That's what I've got.

Do 10-20 pounds at a time when grinding meat. Never tried the sausage stuffer aspect on it. Have yet to get into that aspect of meat grinding. I make sausage, but I've yet to put any of it into casings. Gets the job done, but it's a bit of a workout.

This is a cheap way to go if you already own the kitchen aid.
I grind all my hamburger meat this way.
