Stopped with my brothers at The Apple House this past weekend. It's located off of Rt 66 in Linden, Va. We smelled the Q on our way in to a camping trip and stopped on our way home a few days later.

This isn't solely a BBQ joint (where that's the only thing they do), but they're smoking pork all day over hickory for their signature Apple House Pork BBQ sandwich. Lots of other fresh sandwiches, breakfast all day, homemade doughnuts being made right in front of you, walls of sauces and rubs, gift shop, local wines for sale, a vendor on site making fresh kettle corn, soft serve icecream shop in the parking lot. Service was super friendly, the line of 30+ patrons moved as fast as possible (we got their right after church let out I think), prices were very good to what I'm used to, and portions were impressive. Just needed to give well deserved credit to a place that understands quality food and service!

Bad pic of food on my lap while we drove. Generous portion for $6.99. Couple big juicy chunks and pulled pork. Even got some crispy bark in there. Sauce was flavorful, obviously homemade, but not so much that it just ran out everywhere and overpowered pork. I will be going back.
