Anybody else watch this? I kind of like they way they focus on different cooking techniques. Tonight: 300 pounds of fish nailed to oak boards around a fire; and legendary Texas BBQ places & 3rd generation pitmaster.

No, not sure what the family tree is but the pitmaster is Wayne Mueller, billed as 3rd generation.

For those that saw or recorded the show about cooking fish nailed to wooden planks in new england, I sure hope those were SS roofing nails they used, but kinda looked like galvanized on the tube:wacko:

I enjoy that show too with all the different methods that are demonstrated. My 6 & 9 yr olds are usually glued to the screen when I play it too.

I had the same thought about the galvanized nails.

Watch it every chance I get. There was a great one a week or so ago. I think they were in Hawaii. Guy had a chicken cooker on a big flatbed. It had 2 chain drive systems, one to spin the chickens, and one to pull them across the length of the cooker. Did 400 chickens at one time I think they said!

Only odd thing was how they started the fire, they through wooden pallets along the length of the unit, then tossed whole bags (bag and all) of lump on the pallets, then lit the whole thing with a weed burner:shock: Aren't pallets treated?

I highly doubt they got hot enough to even worry about.

Yeah I dig this show a lot.
Had it set to record on DVR but I kept just seeing repeats.
New season started I assume?

I'll have to put it back on the schedule.
