Just finishing up laying my new patio and after a weekend of cooking I noticed I probably need to put something under, at minimum, my stick burnerís firebox. Any suggestions on what to put under it to help make clean up easier and protect the patio a little? I saw some fireproof mats online but didnít know if they were worth it or if you guys might have opinions on better options.

Check out a 4x8 sheet of cement board. It may even be paintable if you want to do that.
BTW... Very nice patio!

they also have pads that are a little bit more attractive than a piece of cement board, they're at home depot and lowes and meant to go under bbq's

get a sheet metal shop to break you a pan out of thin material to slide under firebox just dump when finished and keep out of way when not using

What I saw at Lowes here in town was "The Original Grill Pad" but wasn't sure how it holds up or if anyone had experience with them.

If you're not too concerned about the looks while you're cooking you could use an aluminum water heater pan. I use one under my Weber & propane cooker all the time. Nice patio BTW!! Cheers!!!

I would line the bottom of the firebox with firebrick ( you can get them at Ace online, shipped free to your local store) to help direct the heat away from the patio, and then get a grilling pad/mat from Home Depot or Lowes to help keep the stains and gunk off the patio.
