Watching Bobby Flay right now. Don't ask me why, he just came on. What an idiot. How can he get away with telling people that you should put a pan of water on top of your coals so that your ribs stay moist. To make it worse he said he will smoke at 250 for two hours for fall of the bone St. Louis ribs

For how long did he boil them? Did he give a recipe for spare rib soup?

No, he didnt need to boil them he said because he used the water pan.

He must have a good agent, because I can't find any culinary skill in his cooking. I once saw him grill a brisket on a gas grill like a steak. Then there was the time he made jambalaya with vodka. The most ridiculous was the show where he boiled crawfish in plain water for 30 minutes and then season them afterwards.

Jambalaya and vodka?? And grilling a brisket? Was it a point or flat?? If not, it must've been like the leather on my boots.

While your in the topic, I've been trying to give bobby all the benefit of the doubt in the world, but last week I got to visit his Mesa Grill restaurant in Vegas. Very all around disappointing experience, I was in shocked how bad the service and food was for a $300 dinner for 4. I really hope I just caught a bad night at Mesa grill, but I don't think I'll be going back.

For a $300 dinner for 4 people, there should be no such thing as a bad night in that restaurant. Now if you were eating somewhere like TGI Fridays or Red Lobster and paying $100 for 4 people then yeah there will be bad nights.

Ive heard similarly disappointing things about his place in atlantic city. At the local mall near me there is a Booby Flay burger joint, my girlfriends son went there with his father and the were sick for two days. I decided that was enough for me not to go, and just way too much money for a burger.

Sadly, I am sure it's all about money because of the attached name.

When you wear shoes like this.... you wind up telling people to put a water pan in the coals, that it takes 2 hrs to cook St Louis ribs, and you recommend grilling briskets.

So, don't wear shoes like this.
