Uds seal

Hi all,

I have a kettle lid that did not fit the drum perfectly so i flatened the lip of the lid meaning it now fits a treat, after reading on here i have noticed that its best to have a form of gasket.

So my questions are

1 - will performance exhaust header wrap work?
2 - will there be enough weight in lid to seal or will i need to clamp lid down?

Not sure if this helps or not, but I use the flat lid that came on my drum and the metal ring as well. Then I use a clamp to tighten the ring.
