Fake Farmer

Finally got around to cooking this whole chicken that's been in the fridge. And then finally got around to posting it.
The star of the show. Backbone out and breastbone broken. Marinated in Italian Dressing overnight. Cleaned up and rubbed down with Weber's Kickin Chicken.

The supporting cast. Seasoned in salt and pepper and propped up to look cool.

Cooked indirect at 300 for about 2 hours. Did this on the gasser with apple wood in smoke box cause I got home late from work. The whole thing kinda frustrated me cause I'm not very good with my timing yet, and when wife and kids are waiting on dinner I rushed to throw the skin down direct. It came out awesome, but I gotta admit...it was all an accident. We call that an "experiment", right?

Thanks for looking. The chicken was delicious, but I know it could have been so much better....guess I gotta keep working on it as frequently as possible.
