There is a guy that I work with that says the best Que he has ever had came from a guy that smoked it on green citrus wood. I have heard of smoking on citrus before, but not green wood. I work next to a few citrus groves, so I can get all the citrus I want, but just curious if anyone has heard of smoking on green citrus.

I've been told using "green" fruit wood is a good way to go.

I'm thinking this is a good opportunity for a fatty experiment. Pretty cheap way to find out for yourself.

I guess it couldn't hurt to try it out, maybe I'll stumble on to something good.

I smoked 3 chickens yesterday, and used orange wood that I cut last week. I'm not sure if the green wood added much to the flavor, but I know it didn't hurt it. The chicken turned out fantastic. First Spatchcock and it was delicious, definitely doing that again.
