This is the final proof of the website I will use for my "online brochure" . I intend to use a business card to direct "selected "clients to my site in order to "tell the Woodman story." I spent very little and had a buddy do the logo for BBQ! Anything I missed besfore I send it out live?? Woodman

Nice looking site Woodman!!!

Good luck with the catering biz. NE Ohio needs good BBQ.

Learned this from some marketing types, consider a more prominent call to action on the home page.

Fantastic site. Very professional and inviting. It's real easy to navigate through, which is important because so many are way to wordy and confusing.

This is actually exactly the idea and was thinking about for my BBQ biz. Catering is the way to go as you get to pick and choose when and where you want. I've got the menu down but I'm still in the "how to price" stage. Any info on that would be helpful if you want to share, or plan on putting it on your site.

Good luck and keeps us updated on your success.

Good job. Nice presentation and you stayed away from the "Flash/Java/too large jpg." syndrome that dooms many websites because of the wait time. I've got broadband at home and if a website stalls for more than a few seconds when loading, I'm gone.

Definitely a Brethren gathering on Friday night! :-D

Michigan in July huh? I was expecting nice cooler temps when I was married in St. Joseph, Michigan in August of '98... not. Didn't think about Lake Michigan causing all kinds of humidity.

I think Miss Laura's a peach. And just because we don't SAY "we'd hit 'er" doesn't mean we wouldn't. If you were out of the picture, of course. <grin>

Good luck with the site!

10-4.....10-4

My Bro's a bass player too he plays a Ken Smith custom fretless 6 string. And a custom fretless 4 string and.....ah well piss on it. He's got more guitars than most peeps got underwears.

Sponsored by KS as well. Cool to see another musician. I'm just a lowly guitar player.

Woodman,

I am a web developer full-time - very nice site! I have plans to get into the Q biz too. I would love to see you post your ups and downs, good and bad, woulda', coulda', shoulda's from your catering gigs. It would be very helpful to us who are preparing to step out but have not done it yet. You could be a mentor to us! :-D

Nice blog ya got there! If you are planning on doing two comps this year, I would HIGHLY recommend doing Michigan . It is in Grand Rapids July 15 weekend. There will be several folks from here and we could kick back over a beer or two and some prime rib Friday night and discuss the catering game! The Ohio cook in October in Nelsonvill might also be one to consider! Woodman

Thanks Woodman! Do you have a link to the Grand Rapids competition site? I found a Backyard Grillmasters site but they only have 2005 information on it.
